ALEC VAN'S RELEASES

To commemorate his memorable year as a five-year-old, Alec Van recorded his favorite five pieces of classical music that he has performed throughout the year. What started as an idea of an audio memory book of his development as a musician became a beautiful compilation that he shares with the world as his debut EP, appropriately titled, 5. 

5 features two works he performed during his Carnegie Hall debut, Arabesque and Flamenco, as well as three other classical works.

Following the concept established by the debut EP "5",  "6" features six works Alec has performed throughout the year as a 6 year old. Among these is September Trees, his first original classical composition. The piece draws inspiration from the contrapuntal character, ornamentation and formal sensibilities of the Baroque-era while blending and incorporating Alec's own contemporary harmonic and melodic ideas.
